Jessica Addison

Program Director, Boston LEAH Training Program

Jessica Addison MD, MS, MPH graduated from college from the University of Virginia. She attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.  She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, and a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at Children’s National Health Center in Washington DC.  Dr. Addison is currently the Co-Medical Director of the Boston HAPPENS program; so in addition to primary care patients she also takes care of youth living with HIV. She is also involved in medical education and is a member of the BCH Academy for Teaching and Educational Innovation and Scholarship. Dr. Addison’s research interests are mainly focused on caring for hospitalized adolescents and Social Determinants of Health/Health Disparities.

Sarah Pitts

Associate Program Director

Sarah AB Pitts MD, is an attending in the Divisions of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine and Endocrinology at Boston Children’s Hospital, an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, the Program Director for the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship, and the Project Director for the Boston LEAH Program .  She completed her BA in Anthropology at Dartmouth College and received her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School.  She then went on to complete her pediatric residency training in the Boston Combined Residency Program and Fellowship Training in the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Pitts is the co-Director of the Reproductive Endocrine and PCOS Program. Her research endeavors stem from the AYA LARC Collaborative which she established in 2017 with 4 other clinical sites across the country. Finally, as a member the BCH Academy, the Graduate Medical Education Committee, the ABP Education & Training Committee, and the APPD SPIN research network, Dr. Pitts has a passion for medical education.

March Penn

Program Administrator

March Penn is the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program Administrator. March has been living in Boston since 2009 and enjoys poetry, running, and exploring city parks. March received a BA in English from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland and an MA in Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins. March first started working at Boston Children’s Hospital in the Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine in November 2021 and is known for being enthusiastic about events planning and social media.
